The mission of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation is to facilitate and support programs that produce positive change for children and families throughout Southern California by providing educational opportunities, broadening access to the sport of hockey and addressing the health and wellness needs of our community.

CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocates

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County is a non-profit organization that trains community volunteers to serve as powerful mentors and advocates for our community’s most severely abused, abandoned and neglected children.

CASA serves children who, for their own protection, have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care. Judges refer the most serious cases of child abuse and neglect to CASA so that one volunteer can consistently spend time with one child, building a relationship and ensuring that each child is receiving the support and attention he or she needs and deserves while going through the foster care process.

Volunteer advocates are a powerful voice for children, advising the court about what the child needs and wants. While providing emotional support and the stability and nurturing every child deserves, they make recommendations that are in the child’s best interest. Click to Learn More >

Orangewood Children’s Foundation

The mission of Orangewood Children’s Foundation is to provide innovative services for abused and neglected children and at-risk families to end the cycle of child abuse one life at a time. 44 Women for Children is a unique group of women passionate about helping Orange County’s abused and neglected children. Founded in 1999 by Susan Samueli as an auxiliary of Orangewood, 44 Women for Children hosts annual fundraising events to support Orangewood’s college scholarship and Peer Mentor programs for former foster care youth. Since 1999, 44 Women for Children has raised over $2.4 million for the Foundation.

Proceeds from 2012 Anaheim Ducks Casino Night will assist 44 Women’s scholarship efforts for Orangewood’s youth. In the 2010-2011 fiscal year, the auxiliary raised over $270,000 to help Orangewood youth attend 80 universities, community colleges and trade schools in 15 states. Click to Learn More >
